HTML Editor 1 Year ago
The demoSite has been updated to use the new HTML Editor. Feel free to try it out and let me know how it goes.
The demoSite using the new HTML Editor.

The Editor is configured through simple XML.
The HTML Editor's XML config file.

NOTEWORTHY FEATURES

Create styles and custom define formatting through XML.

Insert images, directly into text fields and text areas, with the Mediablock component. Images are resized and cropped to fit defined area. Once inserted they will be managed through Flashblocks.

Embed font outlines directly into the HTML Editor.

Smart hyperlinking so that email addresses launch an email application, numbers jump to a frame on the timeline and entering a function will call that function and pass its contents. for example, after selecting text, pressing the link icon, and enter a function into the URL field, like "_root.openWindow(window1)", will actually call the function _root.openWindow and pass the variable window1.

HTML Code view and editor with auto update feature - see changes while you type.

Change HTML Editor's background color.

Custom text colors and background colors are defined through the XML config file.

New features will be added here as they are requested.

Re:HTML Editor 1 Year ago
Very cool. Can't wait till I can download this and stick in the site I'm building.

Feature request: After you place an image or mediablock, it would be nice to be able to click on it and somehow get back to its properties (in case you typed in the wrong vspace, for example), rather than having to delete it and replace it.

Undo/Redo Bug: If I place two images, then hit control-z, it will undo both image placements, rather than just the last one.

Again, great work. I have been impressed with Flashblocks and this forum, as admin seems to work tirelessly at developing better blocks and answering forum questions speedily. Thank you.

Undo/Redo Bug fixed. Feel free to try again. I will be updating Flashblocks ML, most likely, on the 18th or 19th.

Re:HTML Editor 1 Year ago
Flash handles images in text fields very poorly. So I have chosen to remove the image insertion feature until further notice.

Flashblocks ML 2.0.2.4 includes the new text Editor, minus image insertion, and is available now from the store and, as usual, for free upgrade.

Re:HTML Editor 1 Year ago
Once again, lets see if the new HTML Editor, FlashText, is ready for prime time. Image/Mediablock insertion has been reimplemented and should be good to go.
http://www.sketchography.com/demoSite/flashblocks_demoSite.php

The fact that you can, by default, insert Mediablocks into text fields, brings up some rather advanced possibilities. For example, as you know, images are scaled and cropped by default. But did you also know that Mediablocks can have graphics globally attached to every instance - such as a background design, watermark or mask. Or one could even insert a Flashblocks powered website or movie clip directly into a text field. This could prove useful for inserting tables and lists that are actually Flashblocks powered.

Make sure that your flash movie has the 'createMediablock' movie clip in it's library.

You can find this movie clip in the demo site.

Re:HTML Editor 7 Months, 4 Weeks ago
after I insert a mediablock into my text, then exit the editor. I cannot get the mediablock menu link when I right click on it. I only get the text editor menu link. Seams to work properly in the demo. Please advise.
