SysAdmin Strategies- One Server Multi Domains 7 Months, 1 Week ago
Our company has fallen in love with your product. We would like to use your product on all of our future projects.

What setup/install strategies would we need to do for multi domains running on the same server. In other words how would we setup multi FB projects (each domain in their own folder) on the same host.
Like this -->
Code: :

  www/         -index.html         Client1/                 -flashblocks/                 -index.html                 -flash.swf         Client2/                -flashblocks/                 -index.html                 -flash.swf         Client3/                -flashblocks/                 -index.html                 -flash.swf

Is this right?

Good question. I imagine you would like to have unique copies of the data and config directories for each client but share the editors, serverSide, and languages folders with every site. Go ahead and email me and I will send you an example setup.

Re:SysAdmin Strategies- One Server Multi Domains 6 Months ago
Hi there,

Currently I have not been offering content management for my clients as they just take too long to set up. Flashblocks seems to be a very user friendly solution however as discussed in the previous thread it makes sense for all the sites on my Gridserver to share alot of the flashblocks content (editors etc). That way I can create a branded system which has only one directory if amended or upgraded.

Could you please give me advise on site structure and setup.

Many thanks.

Most likely you will wish to share the editors, serverSide, and language files. But you will not want to share the editors config files as these tend to vary from site to site. For example you will set the fonts and styles for each site in the flashblocks_FlashTextHtml.xml config file.

These are the files you will need to alter to create the new directory structure:

1. flashblocks/flashblocks_config.xml
2. each editors/config/ *.xml file
3. include.php

If this is something that would be useful I may even change the path structure for the next release of Flashblocks.
