I don't know if anyone has noticed but there is something that i find is not too practical in the way the news module works.

The News Module is great but the images don't stay associated to their corresponding news. Unlike the News Module, the new List Module does keep each image and each news associated, even when you change the order of the news (nodes) in the xml file with the XML Editor.

This alone hasn't motivated me to use the News Module. It could be confusing when images get swapped with different news. It's just not practical.

I think the News Module should keep images associated with each news, regardless if you change the order of the nodes.

Understandable. Perhaps I should replace the current images with a sequence of numbers in order to demonstrate a practical use for the unassociated images. In such a case the numbers would stay in sequence as news items are rearranged and added.

It would be a small task to convert the original New Module to associate images in the same way as the new List News Module. If this is something anyone requires feel free to let me know.

I would vote for that. I've been holding this thought since Flashblocks 2 came out.

Maybe you could include both versions of the module in the release for one to choose. Or it could be enabled through a parameter. Whatever is more practical.
