file manager: upload/copy error 1 Year ago
I have some problems uploading and copying directories in file manager.

first of all: I have chmod everything to 777, and uploaded the newest update of FB

Upload in some directories:
It seems like it uploads but no files appears afterwoulds. I have in my FTP programme noticed that this is the case with the directories that not has the username for my webdomain as author. The standard files/dir has that as author but new files/dir has httpd.

Create file error:
When trying to create files in the directories I can't upload to i get this message:
can't open file=&onLoad=[type Function]
unsuccessful
_url:
http://www...../flashblocks/editors/flashblocks_fileTree.swf

Create diretory error:
When trying to create files in the directories I can't upload to i get this message:
result=&onLoad=[type Function]
unsuccessful

I get the same message trying to copy directories period.

This is the last step before I can hand over the page to the client with a complete flashblock guidance so I really hope it quickly can't be solved

Please send a link to your site and I will take a look.

NOTE: It is very important to ask your hosting provider, for the most secure option, when changing file and directory permissions.

I just created a dir and file and uploaded a jpg and everything worked. Make sure that you are uploading into a dir that has write permission such as the resize dir.

That i can't understand...
All the directories has write permission. I can also make a new dir in a fold such as the resize dir. But I can't upload anything into it.
I really don't get it...

Your absolutely right. What is the use of creating a directory if you can not upload into it?

I will include this in the next release. For now you will need to set you directory permission through FTP.

I love this music on buhne - very relaxing.

Ok that sounds good, its so nice that the clients can use the file manager so the don't need a ftp prog.

I pass on the compliment on the music to the artist :-)

Actually it turns out that all directories, that are created through the Mediabrowser, are created with write permission. So there actually should not be a problem.

Re:file manager: upload/copy error 12 Months ago
yes that is why Im so confused about it. It has not something to do with the write permission. I suspect the "author" of the file. I don't know why but as I mentioned previosly the author of the directories i make in the file manager, that won't work is set as httpd.

Is this something that you will need to talk to your hosting provider about?
