Error connecting to server? 9 Months ago
I have had a FlashBlocks1 site running for over a year now, and all of the sudden it will no longer save. It displays "error connecting to server". My browser activity states that the flashblocks save php file is "unacceptable"

Any thoughts on what is wrong and what i need to do to get this fixed?

thanks.

The only thing that could have affected your site is a change to the server. You could ask your hosting provider what has changed. You may want to check the data files write privileges and make sure that the flashblocks_save.php file is still in the root directory.

odd. yes, all files are accounted for, and I have checked the permissions.

I have 2 other FB sites running on the same server.

I will try to move the site to another server for testing.

Re:Error connecting to server? 9 Months ago
so I moved the site to a different server, and all is well.

So now the real question, any idea what could have gone wrong on a server that had this site running great for months?

I have php 5 and at least 8 other sites using full blown CMS sites. So PHP is running and running well.

thanks sonny.

Re:Error connecting to server? 9 Months ago
Flashblocks works with both php4 and php5. It is very rare when a server does not function smoothly with Flashblocks. We would most likely need to test the flashblocks_save.php script on your previous server to find the problem.

Re:Error connecting to server? 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
this has become an issue again.

No change to the server, and i have a few other FB sites on this same server.

the Flash Blocks error:
"Error conecting to server"

the Browser error: flashblocks_save.php : unacceptable

Any thoughts?

You may need to check the size of your data file and make sure that your hosting provider allows PHP to receive POST data that size.

Re:Error connecting to server? 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
good call.

but this file is only 135k. It was fine a week ago. This is the same site I was having issues with on another server, so i moved it to a server running other FB sites.

Could it be something with the FB modules in the flash?

thanks for your help.
