Hello. I was just wondering if it is possible to set a max width AND max height for my gallery full size image display so that the image is scaled to fit on the screen.

Right now, if it is a horizontal format picture then it will get adjusted to the correct height but the left and right sides will get cut off. If it is a vertical format picture then it will be aligned to the left and right but the top and bottom will get cut off.

I'm just wondering if there's a way to have to image resize to fit the screen without having it distorted or cut off.

You may turn cropping off by selecting the Mediablock instance and setting cropping to false from the component inspector. As far as scaling the image to fit the browser window, yes this is possible with Flash but it is not a built in function.

Yes, thank you, but I'm not using a Mediablock so editing the parameters is not an option.

I am using the gallery module/mctween.as that was included with my Flashblocks download. Is there a way to disable cropping and enable scaling for that?

Also, I'm not trying to scale my images to the browser window. I'm trying to scale them to the size of the stage.

See what I mean? I would like the full sized images to be scaled to a max-width of 752px and a max-height of 542px. Any ideas?

Open the "galleryFull1" movie clip found in the "gallery full size image assets" folder. then select the Mediablock and turn off cropping.

My problem was that I just wasn't going deep enough into the layers so I never saw the Mediablock.
