Documentation 3 Years ago
Flashblocks has tremendous potential. However, for a tool that is clearly intended to save a great deal of development time, it is falling short.

Reason being, lack of sufficient documentation. I am a reasonably skilled flash developer with experience coding in a number of languages. I am having to plod through this code line by line in debugger along with browsing the forum here to find any jewels of info that lead me in the right direction.

Since I purchased the developer version, it might lead you to understand that I have expectations in terms of altering the default behavior of your components rather than using them "as is".

So far, I have attempted to alter the gallery UI, and the text editor (embedding fonts) , each with limited success.

I expect that each component should have a minimum of documentation as it relates to the obvious portions of code that a developer would be interested in altering.

It seems that documentation is forthcoming only when you recieve an inquiry from someone on a subject. And even then, it would appear that in several cases, we are privy only to snippets of a conversation between flashblocks and the user, as it would appear that some of the converstaion took place outside the forum.

I would be happy to contribute to this documentation if it were put together in a coherent form rather than the fragemented snippets that are available now.

Feel free to contact me at kracko1@hotmail.com to discuss further.

Regards,

Kracko
