login and edit problems 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
hi flashblocks team,

i have got several problems.

1. when i want to login to the cms on my site
it only works when i mouse over a editable
textfield. on all other areas only the flashmenu pops up

2. so when i finally login (by moving over an editable textfield), the areas which can be edited are highlighting but again only the textfields allow to be edited. pictures and the listmodules not. only the flashmenu pops up.

3. i embeded fonts. so i edited the htmleditor and embeded the fonts in the flash movie. but still only the arial font is available.

when i test the whole site on my computer using
xampp everything works fine. i can login in all areas of the flashmovie, i can edit all highlighted areas.

this is the link to the website:
...

please help me quick cause i have to put the site online next week!!!!

greetings
sensi

It appears that a script is interfering with the contextual menu. But Flashblocks comes with an alternate menu that is much nicer. Instead of right clicking, try pressing ctrl+shift.

Regarding the fonts, it sounds like you need to configure the html editor with the correct fonts.

Please read the section on the FlashText HTML Editor here.
http://flashblocks.com/FlashblocksML/ReadMe.php#HTMLeditors

And the section on embedding fonts below that.
http://flashblocks.com/FlashblocksML/ReadMe.php#fonts

You may find a video tutorial on embedding fonts into Flash and configuring Flashblocks to use the embedded fonts, here.

yeah thanx a lot,

everything works just fine now...!!!

just another question left:
is it possible to define a certain login area?
because currently the whole flashmoviearea is defined as a loginarea. i mean that wherever i move over the flashmovie with the mouse i can login.
but i want that only a certain area is defined to be able to be loged in. for example :the upper-right or maybe a picture.

Sort of. You can create a button in your movie that will launch the login dialog. The actionscript to launch is this:
Code: :

 flashblocks.Flashblocks.login()

See layer "Login Button" in the demo site for an example.

Then to remove the login from the contextual menu:

1. Open "config/login/flashblocks_login.xml"
2. Replace caption="Login" with caption=" "
Notice that caption="(space)".
