Flashblocks V1.4 BETA has been released.

The main features of the flashblocks V1.4 BETA upgrade are listed here:
  • Embedded fonts are now in a separate file, fonts_lib.swf. This is a shared library containing all of your embedded fonts. The advantage, to the new embedded shared font system, is that you will now be able to insert as many embedded fonts into the same text area as you wish. You will see the fonts while editing. And, being a shared library, all fonts are shared across flash movies so download time is reduced and site design is modularized.
  • These fonts are also shared with the new text editor, flashblocks_texteditor2.swf (source included.) Two opensource text editors now come with flashblocks.
  • drop down menu has been added to the flashblocks form engine.
  • Flashblocks editor can now be skinned in any language.
  • German and French are included and now an option from the login screen (You will notice the new form engine being used here.)You can create additional language functions in flashblocks_login.fla
  • AMFPHP Flash Remoting now comes with flashblocks. There are no examples yet but it will be supported and covered in the future.
  • Global find & replace added to the "view / edit" dialog window.
  • Selecting Link from the Edit Menu, now gives you the possibility of calling a function(), in your flash movie, rather then a URL.
  • New website template included in this build. NOTE: the template is not finished yet. I will update Flashblocks news when the finished template is bundled with the V1.4 download.

Linking - Link any edit block to a URL or to a function.

Select Link from the edit menu. Enter a URL or function. The entire block becomes a link. Clicking the block now opens the URL or launches the function.

The Flashblocks Gallery module is finished:

Just point a block towards a directory of images. Thumbnails are resized and cropped dynamically. Create as many galleries as you wish.

MP3 functionality with the included mp3player module - Simply place an MP3 inside each gallery directory. The MP3 will play when displaying a gallery!
